Frequently Asked Questions

  • What issues do you specialize in?

I specialize in individual adult therapy with a focus on career/leadership counseling and womens mental health.

  • Is therapy confidential?

Yes, therapy is confidential. Everything you share in sessions will remain private, except in rare situations where I am legally required to break confidentiality, such as if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others, or in cases of abuse involving a vulnerable individual. I will always discuss these limits with you to ensure you feel informed and supported.

  • Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

I currently offers therapy sessions exclusively in a virtual format. This allows her to provide flexible and accessible care, no matter where you are in New York. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to supporting you in this convenient and secure setting. In-person sessions will be offered in the future in the Binghamton, NY, area.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I am currently an in-network provider for the following insurance companies:

    - Anthem BlueCross BlueShield (formally Empire)

    - Carelon Behavioral Health

    - Aetna

    - Quest Behavioral Health

    - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

  • What if you do not accept my insurance?

If your insurance is not listed, I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, many insurance plans offer partial reimbursement for therapy services. If you’d like to use your out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a detailed receipt (superbill) to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

For those who prefer to pay directly, I also offer self-pay options, which ensure complete privacy and flexibility without involving insurance. Sessions are $130 for a 53 minute session.

  • What should I expect during the first session?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your goals, explore relevant background information, and start creating a plan tailored to your needs. This is a safe, supportive space where you can share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to cover everything right away.

  • How do I schedule an appointment?
